Art of Wishes raises funds to support Make-A-Wish UK, helping bring joy, healing and strength to children battling critical illness at a time when they need it most.
About Megan
Megan Locke is Business Development Lead for Art of Wishes, a creative programme within Make-A-Wish UK that mobilises the art and luxury sectors to grant life-affirming wishes for critically ill children.
Megan brings over a decade of experience bridging finance, research, and the commercial art world. She has guest lectured at Sotheby’s Institute of Art and contributed to industry podcasts and publications. Prior to her career in the art world, she worked at Barclays Capital in Fixed Income Sales. She holds a BA in History of Art and Architecture from Harvard University and a Master’s in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art.
With a background spanning leading galleries, art-market intelligence and cultural philanthropy, Megan specialises in building high-impact partnerships at the intersection of art, luxury and charitable purpose. She leads the development of Art of Wishes’ strategic relationships with collectors, artists, brands and institutions, shaping collaborations that combine commercial rigour with deep social impact.
She has a particular interest in the role that art and luxury can play in modern philanthropy, and in creating initiatives that feel both emotionally resonant and commercially intelligent. Through Art of Wishes, she works closely with supporters to develop projects that not only fund wishes, but enrich the cultural lives of the children and families they serve.
What does Dura mean to you?
To me, Dura represents the kind of network that women rarely get access to - one that is equal parts strategic, generous, and grounded in values. I’m drawn to the shared language around legacy, purpose, and wealth that extends far beyond finance, into areas like culture, education, and impact. As both a professional in the art world and a mother navigating a full life, I see The Society as a place where I can both contribute meaningfully and find connection with women who are thinking ambitiously and living intentionally.
