Anna Josse
Anna is CEO and Co-Founder of Prism the Gift Fund (Prism), a Donor Advised Fund and UK registered charity, established in 2005 to increase charitable funds into the sector.
About
Prism offers a swift, personable and efficient mechanism to facilitate HNW individual, group, corporation and foundation gifting globally. Previously, Anna worked in the high-tech industry and set up the Yazam EU office as Director of Investor Relations. Anna set up and ran the British arm of a USA based charity, the New Israel Fund. Anna also acts as a trustee and advisor for several charities. She is the director and shareholder of the financial services company Regent Capital that specialises in investment products/services to UK-based HNW investors.
Prism is a UK registered charity and Donor Advised Fund (DAF). We administer the giving of individuals, families, companies and groups who are donating significantly to charities and not-for-profits globally. At the end of the last financial year (year end June 2022) Prism had a donation income of £115m and distributed nearly £60m globally. Prism’s distributions and investment portfolio is donor-led and cause agnostic. Therefore, the organisation is flexible and can distribute funds to any cause, anywhere in the world, as long as they are within the charitable objectives set by the UK Charity Commission.

Notable Cases
Since 2015, Prism has had over 220 Collective Fund clients, enabling founders to focus on their philanthropic activities whilst Prism overseas compliance, governance and due diligence on payments and distributions. An example is a women's collective, with the mission to pool resources and use the collective power of philanthropy to invest collectively in organisations working with marginalised women and girls in London. Impact 100 London launched in March 2020 and have collectively awarded £650,000 to local charities. Support goes beyond the funding as Impact 100 members gave 700 hours of pro-bono services to grantees in 2020-2022 alone.
Donor Advised Funds (DAF): are a time-saving, cost-effective, and tax-efficient alternative to establishing a grant making foundation which a donor can personalise by creating an “own name foundation. Where relevant, investments can be held at a manager of choice. The DAF offers a platform for individuals and families engaged in global giving. Donors have the flexibility to contribute various assets, such as cash, shares, and property, to their DAF account.
The Collective Fund (CF): enables founders to carry out their charitable activities by offering a time-efficient and cost-effective alternative to setting up a standalone charity. By setting up a CF with Prism, founders become part of Prism’s charitable umbrella, which enables them to focus on fundraising and running their project. We ensure that all CF activities adhere to the increasingly complex regulatory framework. In addition, we claim Gift Aid on donations, ensuring that all UK donors are giving in the most effective way. Explore more here: The Collective Fund
What does Dura mean to you?
By 2025 we will see more than half of the UK’s wealth in women’s hands. Philanthropy and the philanthropic market will inevitably see a shift as women’s giving is more notably aligned to their values. The wider support structure around wealth management and financial planning still has a long way to go to understand how to cater to women’s needs. Too often, we still don’t see philanthropy as part of the conversation. Connecting with like minded women who share a passion for driving their wealth and doing good is what excited me about being part of the Dura society.
